Roads Potholes In Tamilnadu

Road potholes are a common problem in Tamil Nadu, as in many other parts of India. Potholes can lead to accidents, damage to vehicles, and slow traffic. Most of the traffic in Chennai busy areas are due to these potholes where car and bike owners take cuts to avoid these potholes.

Why Potholes In Roads?

They are caused by factors such as heavy rainfall, high traffic volume, and poor maintenance. The Lack of proper drainage system which leads to water accumulation on roads. The use of low quality materials during construction. Age of the road and natural wear and tear. Addressing the root causes of road potholes, such as improving maintenance and using better construction materials, is essential for reducing their frequency and severity.

Potholes Patches!

These potholes are filled in patches after they have developed. These small patches are filled but cannot be compacted properly and they stick above the original road surface. The impact force of vehicles on these protrusion is huge, weakening the surrounding area and making bigger pot holes. Other countries re lay the roads, including the base, after 3 to 5 times of re tarring, but in India roads are done mostly patch works which again tears after 1 or 2 weeks.

Solution For This Problem:

One solution contractor must use best quality materials, and must give 10-15year guarantee for their work, if any wear and tear happens contractor must fix this on their own cost without government interference. Road laying must be given to private as we all know when it comes under goverment what all will happen!!! Never want to discuss about those.
